For a city break with fresh air and wind in your hair.

Oslo's unique closeness to nature, both to the fjord and the forest, makes it easy to include outdoor activities in your city break.

There is an increasing number of possibilities to experience Oslo through plenty of exciting attractions. Go on a paddle excursion on the Oslo Fjord, or go on an overnight adventure in the forest.

Active on the fjord

Oslo has truly opened up its waterfront in recent years, and there are plenty of ways to take advantage of that! Whether you like traditional kayaking or would like to try standing up to paddle on a SUP, or even enjoy an urban fjord-sauna: these are all activities that are available to you!

Guided nature walks

Did you know that there are local nature lovers out there who are ready to share their knowledge with you? Join them on a day trip or an overnight trip in Oslo's surrounding forests. With experienced guides to plan the whole trip, bringing first class equipment you can use, the only thing you need to think about is showing up and enjoying the adventure.

Bicycle through Oslo

Perched atop the bike saddle, you can explore every centimetre of the city with ease. Rent a city bike for an hour at a time, rent a bike for a whole day, or join a guided bike tour of the city.

Adrenaline kick

Lover of speed, heights and excitement? We can recommend zip-lining down the Holmenkollen ski jump, climbing among tall trees, or a day spent in the ski slopes (yes, even during summer!).

When it rains

Sometimes summer weather shows up as rain. Our suggestion for those particular days are to spend them at a spa, at the cinema or in an escape room.
