Sledding in Oslo
Going out sledding is an easy and fun way to enjoy the snow. Options for sledding in Oslo ranges from local parks to long trails in the forest.
Sledding in Korketrekkeren
Oslo's most popular sled run is Korketrekkeren ("the cork screw") close to Holmenkollen. The 2-kilometer sled run offers action and fun for adults and older kids. If you don't have a sled of your own, there are multiple options for sled rental in the area.
The trail runs from Frognerseteren to Midtstuen, and if you'd like to go again, all you have to do is to jump on the Metro and go back up to Frognerseteren.
After you're done, we highly recommend enjoying hot cocoa and warm apple cake in front of the fireplace at Kafé Seterstua.

Please note: Korketrekkeren is only open when there is enough snow in the area.
Other places to sled in Oslo
Oslo is a city with many hills, so if you have small children or you don't want to go all the way to Holmenkollen, there are many other places to try some sledding. If you don't have a sled, a plastic bag will do the trick – just make sure to recycle it afterwards!
